Artist Biography
Jearelyn Suazo-Rivas is a Montreal-based artist of Salvadorian and Honduran descent, whose work is deeply personal and rooted in emotion. Painting with oil and acrylic, she captures experiences, memories, and the essence of places that have shaped her.
Artist Statement
Her artistic process is driven by interpretation—transforming what she sees into something deeply expressive. Whether it's a cityscape, a still life, or a landscape from Central America, each piece tells a story meant to evoke emotions in the viewer, whether joyful, nostalgic, or bittersweet. Her work is often inspired by personal experiences, like her New York piece, created after a birthday trip that left a lasting impact on her life and relationships, or her Montreal tribute, a heartfelt homage to her birthplace. Through her art, she seeks to immortalize emotions and moments, making them tangible for others to connect with. Beyond her canvas, Jearelyn is passionate about sharing her creative journey online, engaging with a diverse audience while growing her presence as a content creator and entrepreneur. Through this digital exhibition, she hopes to showcase her evolving artistry, connect with others, and continue creating pieces that speak to the heart.
